The older I get, the more I realize that little things really do mean a lot. When I was a kid, my mom used to tell me that I needed to find more joy in the little things like trees, and playing games, and relaxing. She's right, and so I'm starting the journey...and it's about time.

Jingle Bell Run
Whew, I am beat. My dear friend Jess (and her dog Poppy) and I braved the cold this morning to participate in the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run. It was 4 miles, which was definitely a challenge for this post-baby girl. The run was along the river downtown, and it was a really pretty route. Now it's 8:00 p.m., and I'm ready for bed.
